Why Eyes of an addict?
Having suffered with the gropes of addiction and various other physiological illnesses. I would not have been able to even type this message today, had it not been for someone offering me that helping hand. For this reason, I know the value in helping others and that is the primary reason why I opened this site. I know the value in bringing issues that are generally not widely spoken about, like addiction and all other mental well being issues to light.
People all over the world are affected by these issues, not just those people, but those around them, co-workers, friends and especially their family members. The harsh reality is that, until we can get to a point of speaking openly and honestly about these issues, it will remain hard for many of us to recover from these issues. It will remain hard to ask for help.
My aim is to normalise mental well being issues, like addiction, trauma, PTSD etc. To share about some of my hard learned experiences and my current ongoing challenges in hopes that it may assist someone out there.
Often we judge others based on the unknown and I hope that you find the content of this site useful to yourself and those around you. You may learn a thing or two or be able to assist others in ways you might not have imagined.
View the world. Through the eyes of an addict.
